Sabudana Khichari, a popular Indian breakfast dish made with tapioca pearls (sabudana), potatoes, and peanuts. This gluten-free, vegan-friendly delight is a perfect blend of textures and flavors, with a hint of spice and a dollop of love. Get ready to devour this soothing, soulful bowl of happiness!
Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sabudana (tapioca pearls)
- 1 medium potatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 2 tablespoon ghee or oil
- Salt, to taste
- Chopped green chilies
- Cumin seeds
- Lemon juice
- Coriander leaves for garnish
- 1 tbsp Sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1. Rinse sabudana and soak overnight. Drain and set aside.
2. Boil potatoes until tender. Drain and set aside.
3. Heat ghee or oil in a pan and sauté peanuts until golden.
4. Add cumin seeds, sauté until softened brown.
5. Add sabudana, potatoes, salt, sugar (if using). Mix well.
6. Cook until sabudana is tender and the mixture thickens.
7. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
